Susan was born 23/8/1906. 

She was admitted to St. Clare's Orphanage, Harold's Cross on the 8th June 1916 when she was 9 years and 10 months. She remained there until her 16th birthday, 23rd August 1922, when she was given into the care of her aunt, Bridget Mooney and went to live with her in 15 Fleet Street with her sisters Maggie and Sarah.

She married James O Hanlon 16/8/1936 in St. Andrew's in Westland Row. They lived for a time in Gardiner Street, moved to 11 Innisfallen Parade and on 1/11/1950 to 504 Collins Avenue where she lived until her death 29/8/1990 in James Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown. She suffered with arthritis and had two hips replaced. She suffered a number of strokes before her death. She was a member of Cumann na mBan. Worked in the USA Dry Cleaners, Camden Street, for some time before her marriage.
